We all know Greek yogurt has been touted as one the most nutritious foods – with it’s abundant supply of calcium, potassium, zinc, vitamins B6 and B12, probiotic cultures and twice the protein content of regular yogurts. All of these nutrients are essential to healthy growth of your hair so eating nutrient-rich foods like yogurt and taking proper care of your hair will help you get the hair you’ve always wanted!

Greek yogurt is great for those looking for:

  • moisturized hair (bye, bye brittle, dry strands)
  • shiny, bouncy hair (adios dull, lackluster locks)
  • strong hair (bid adieu to breakage)
  • healthy scalp (sayonara dandruff and build up)

Eat it with fruit. Greek yogurt has a somewhat tart flavor so mix it with your fav fresh berries (and get an extra boost in the faster-growing, more healthy hair department!). Berries are one of the best sources of vitamin C, which is critical for circulation to the scalp and supports the tiny blood vessels that feed the follicles. Too little C in your diet can lead to hair breakage.

Make a hair mask. Try massaging Greek yogurt on your scalp for a few minutes every morning and every night; in addition to leaving you feeling wonderful, this action will send blood and nutrients to your scalp and hair follicles. There are several popular Greek yogurt hair masks, just Google for a full list.
